Description:
This position will join the Information Technology Group based at the firm’s Indianapolis Corporate Headquarters. This position is part of a team, responsible for all aspects of network and user system administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software and office systems. Job includes strong focus on mentoring of other staff. This position reports to the IT Manager and works closely with the Network Administrator.
Experience:
Applicants will not be considered without the following: Considerable (7-10 years or more) and current experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network (400+ users, multiple office WAN) of 25+ servers, desktop systems and mobile communications devices using current technologies. Expert in MS Exchange is a must.
Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers and Windows desktop products.
Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users, including VPN/RPC.
Demonstrated ability to administer a 450+ node network including firewalls.
Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers.
Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
Orientation and training of new staff.
Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
Supervising, coaching, and mentoring of PC and Network Technician positions.
Facilitation and change management skills.
Highly developed verbal and written communications.
